Artist Victor Tkachenko Displaying His Art Expressions in CHLOE

At the beginning I have a Silhouette not yet a body but already a Figure.

“Kiss” acrylic on canvas, 30” x 40”

“Basil”, acrylic on canvas 30” x 40”

I get my inspiration from many diverse places – magazines, newspapers, websites, anywhere where there is visual information.

My colour stains, streaks, blobs, and brushstrokes eventually morph into a shape

“Blue Clown” acrylic on paper, 22” x 28”

Spontaneity and graphic mishaps, accidents, fights and struggles open possibilities and understandings to build and radiate energy.

And then the painting becomes a conversation.

Through the creative process, there’s no other way but to be honest with yourself and the artwork that is being created; this process is stronger than me, the artist.

“GoodNews” acrylic on canvas, 40” x 40”

The format and the medium do not matter in my work. They vary depending on the intention, because each feeling requires a certain expression – you want an explosion then I bring gunpowder!

Just like the same colour can mean an infinite number of things, one character exists on different levels and one painting can reveal several dimensions.

“Paola”, acrylic on canvas, 30” x 40”

The characters in my paintings are each in their own world, living their own life.  You are invited to visit them from time to time.  I create characters who are isolated, alone, moody, elated, fearful or introverted.  But never boring.
